Zen Gardens - The garden zen has long since come to the West, and has brought us peace and harmony.
Originally known in Japan as karesansui are dry gardens that were used in ancient temples for meditation purposes, and thus achieve balance and relaxation.
These small gardens can be found in homes, restaurants and inns. The Zen gardens are composed of simple rocks and raked sand, and sometimes some grass, all elements of nature, allowing us to recreate a space of relaxation and beauty at the same time acquire a quiet moment after the maelstrom of the daily grind.
The raked sand (which may have different strokes) indicates the figure from the sea. Rocks around the rings are formed as if these undulations formed in water. In the rest of the yard is raked in parallel to the platform that gives its foundations.
Today, we can purchase these Zen gardens on a small scale in many specialty stores, and even online, where you will also find tips to build it ourselves. In the case of these small gardens recommend placing them in a quiet place, such as in the nightstand, that so, as meditators say we transmit energy.
